A few Geraniums and a Pierrot

Friday, October 18, 2013

The past week or so I've been doing a little sewing for my girl.  I haven't gotten quite as much done as I'd like but a certain almost two year old has decided to nap only about every other day.  I'm hoping to get a few t-shirts and leggings done next week using some of the patterns that were included in the Sew Fab bundle I got here. I'm just waiting on an order of fabric so I can start those.

The Geranium and Pierrot are both from Made by Rae.  I made all the Geraniums as tops so she can wear them with jeans or leggings for fall and winter and layer a cardigan over them.

Geranium Top using Nani Iro (this one is a little longer as I decided to use the selvage and not hem it)

Sewing for a boy

Monday, October 7, 2013

Back in August my husband told me we were invited to one of his co-workers son's first birthday.  We've had dinner with them a few times so I knew that his wife loves handmade goods.  I saw this as a perfect opportunity to sew something up for him.  This was right around the time that Lush Uptown came out and I thought it was just perfect for a boy.  I used the patterns from Anna Maria Horner's All Set collection.  I think they turned out pretty nicely.

I did have some leftovers and made my daughter a Geranium blouse.  I'll have to take a picture of that for next time.  I have been busy busy sewing but not posting.  I'll try and get better about posting :)
