A little while back I got an email about a swap from Sewn Studio. I don't know what it is about swaps this year but I signed up right away.

Making Kid's Clothes
Thursday, August 21, 2014
So, I apologize for my absence. I've been working really hard on a few things that I'll share with you. I should also apologize this is going to be a very photo heavy post :)
I've been working hard on a bunch of new things for the Etsy shop and a few samples for a shop my cousin runs.
First are some basic leggings in the new Anna Maria Horner knit. I'm in love with pretty much everything she designs.
Kids Clothes Week days 3-4 - Hummingbird Dress
Saturday, July 26, 2014
So going into day 3 of Kids Clothes week, I kind of fell into a funk. I own a million patterns but none of them were really grabbing me. So I went on looked around on etsy and ended up buying the Hummingbird dress pattern from Rabbit Rabbit Creation. Its a really simple stylish dress.
Kids Clothes Week Day 1 (and 2) - Fawn Lily Tunic and a giveaway!!
Wednesday, July 23, 2014
So I started off KCW with big plans. So far I have just gotten this Fawn Lily Tunic done for my girl. The pattern is by Willow and Co. and you can get it here. It's really a great pattern. I anticipated it being more difficult than it was. I mostly finished this on day 1. Day 2 of KCW was kind of a wash, my husband was off of work for the first time in 9 days so we were outside mostly with our daughter in the kiddie pool. I did print off some more patterns and will spend today taping and tracing and cutting.
Juba Shorts
Tuesday, July 22, 2014
So I few weeks ago I got the privilege of testing out a new pattern by Rachael Gander of Imagine Gnats. The pattern is the Juba Shorts. They are a comfy lounge short. Please excuse the awkward photos and my tiny photo bomber.
Bohemian Babydoll Top
Wednesday, July 16, 2014
I recently made this sweet little top for my daughter. The pattern is the Bohemian Babydoll dress and top by Elegance and Elephants. I chose the lovely border print from the wee wander line by Sarah Jane. I really really love how this turned out. I made a few changes as this was the second one I made. Nothing too drastic. I put a narrow hem on the sleeve rather than using the two layers of fabric as the pattern calls for. I prefer the lightness that the one layer gives especially in the summer heat. I also finished the armholes using this technique. A little fiddly but i prefer this to the way the pattern calls for it to be finished.

I've been making things
Sunday, June 1, 2014
So I've made a lot of things. I haven't been good about posting about them. Or even taking photos of them. I've made more than these few things but haven't taken pictures. Shame shame. I'm hoping to revamp this space and be a bit more regular. In the meantime here's a bunch of things I've made recently.
Catnap dresses
Wednesday, February 26, 2014
So I'm not the greatest at consistently blogging but I'm going to try to get better at that. We have a new computer arriving this week and a new camera.
Anyway, some of my recent finishes were for the Lizzy House catnap dress contest. There were two divisions. One for adults and one for kids. I made a dress for my daughter and myself to enter in both.
For my dress I used Vogue V8901. For my daughter I used the Junbug Dress from Craftiness is not optional.
I'm pretty pleased with how they both turned out.
